Do I need to be in shape before starting martial arts?
Not at all. Martial arts training is designed to help you get in shape, not require it beforehand. Our programs are structured to meet students where they are, whether you are a complete beginner or returning after years away from exercise. Strength, endurance, flexibility, and confidence develop naturally through consistent training. We are here to help!
Is martial arts safe for children?
Yes. Safety is our top priority. Classes are age-appropriate, closely supervised, and taught by trained instructors who emphasize control, respect, and proper technique. We use structured drills, protective equipment when needed, and progressive skill development to ensure a safe and dynamic learning environment.
What age can children start training?

I’m an adult- am I too old to start martial arts?
Absolutely not. Adults of all ages train with us. Martial arts is one of the few activities that can be adapted to any age or fitness level. Many adults start for fitness, stress relief, self- defense, or personal growth, and continue because of how good it makes them feel mentally and physically.
Will martial arts help with self-defense?
Honestly, practically every age is a good age to start! We have young children, as well as teenagers. We also have specific programs for adults. So no matter what age - we've got you covered.
Can parents watch their children’s classes?
Yes. Parents are welcome to observe classes and see firsthand how our instructors engage and guide students. We are a family academy, so we definitely will welcome you in to watch your student train. And we do offer family packages so if you ever want to train with your family we make it easy! 🥋
Do you accept EFA funding for homeschool students?
Yes. We are a certified EFA-approved martial arts academy, and eligible students may use their Educational Freedom Account (EFA) funds toward enrollment in our programs. This allows homeschool families to invest in high-quality physical education and character development as part of their child’s educational plan.
Can martial arts count as a Physical Education (PE) credit for homeschoolers?
Yes. Our structured martial arts programs may be used as a Physical Education (PE) credit for homeschooling students. Classes focus on physical fitness, coordination, discipline, goal-setting, and personal responsibility, which meets the requirements many homeschool families seek for PE instruction.
